One of the most important things for you to do is Backlinking. Whenever you write an article or any content leave the link to your website on that site. Make sure that that particular site allows you to do so; else you could be blocked from that site.
Backlinking is an extremely important component of successful search engine optimization also known as SEO. I will cover SEO in detail in other articles of mine. For now let us extol upon the virtues of successfully Backlinking your website.
What happens when you Backlink?
Search engines “look” at your website. But there’s a big secret here that not many people know about. Especially for someone who is just starting out online hoping to make money from their online business.
And the secret is that while search engines “look” at your website
They also take into consideration the number of websites that link to your site as well as the types of websites that link to your site.
Meaning a higher quality Backlink will have more weight than a lower quality link.
The more Backlinking you do the quicker the chances of you growing your website business and making it known.
So what makes a link a high quality link?
For this you first need to understand what Anchor Text of a link is. The anchor text of a link is the actual part of the link that is clicked and takes the person to your website.
A high quality link to your site is one that will include one or more of your website keywords in the anchor text.
Why is a link with the keyword in the anchor text is given more importance than links without your keywords in the anchor text?
Because it would then appear that the links are coming from sites with related information when the keywords are found within the anchor text.
This is very important when you consider a website that has hundreds of incoming links from sites with no relevance to the subject matter of your website…
Versus your website with just a few dozen Backlinks containing your keywords in the anchor text…You and your website benefit tremendously in this way by means of Search Engine Optimization.
